Andrew Tate rips into Guy Fieri's claims to not 'know' or 'support' him

Andrew Tate, the controversial manosphere influencer and accused rapist and sex trafficker, is among those calling out celebrity chef Guy Fieri for his interactions with him and his brother Tristan Tate at an Ultimate Fighting Championship event in Miami earlier this month.

But Tate has different reasons than Fieri’s fans for being angry at the Food Network star from Sonoma County. When Tate was stopped by a TMZ reporter in Beverly Hills Tuesday, he suggested that Fieri was a coward for claiming to not “know” him and his brother, Tristan, after the chef faced intense online backlash for enjoying a friendly greeting with them at the UFC event.

Tate, though, used some more choice words to describe Fieri’s “total switch-up” — being friendly in person then walking it back once he faced heat online, TMZ reported. In characteristic fashion, Tate hurled some sexist and racial epithets at Fieri, as he made it clear “he’s not buying Guy’s explanation for distancing himself after the viral moment.”

At the April 11 UFC event, which also was attended by Donald Trump and leading figures in his MAGA universe, Fieri was photographed and recorded, greeting and shaking hands with the controversial Tate brothers.

After he faced backlash from fans who were horrified that he would associate with the brothers, Fieri went on X to say he was “devastated” that people were angry at him. He explained that he was just there to see the fights and was walking through the venue when the Tate brothers stood up to say hello.

Fieri said: “I did not know them or about them before that moment.” He also wanted to “be crystal clear” in saying that he also does not “support them in any way.”

The outrage against Fieri stems from allegations that Andrew and Tristan Tate are sexual predators, with Andrew Tate also known for preaching chauvinistic views and courting friendships with right-wing figures like Barron Trump and Tucker Carlson. At one point, the brothers were being held in Romania, facing criminal charges for the alleged trafficking of more than 30 women, including a 17-year-old girl, into their pornography operation, the New York Times reported in December. They also are under investigation in Britain for alleged rape and trafficking. Last year, Romanian officials lifted travel restrictions on them, which allowed them to return to the United States.

It turns out that Fieri’s attempts to distance himself from the Tate brothers didn’t go so well with his fans either, especially from people who questioned the chef’s claims that he didn’t know them prior to seeing them at the UFC event.

“Guy Fieri knew exactly who Andrew and Tristan Tate were,” one person said. “He stood up, he walked over, and for one moment, he acted like a man who doesn’t need permission to say hello.”

Like Andrew Tate, this person furthermore chastised the chef for giving in to “pressure” to denounce the brothers by offering a “pathetic” apology for being seen with them.

Someone else agreed that Fieri had to know the Tate brothers, given that “you are around UFC news … can’t be that obtuse.” This person pointed that the brothers are fixtures at UFC events because UFC CEO Dana White “continues to invite (them)” and give them “primo seats.”

Meanwhile, others also called out Fieri for his apparent friendship with Trump, which the chef appeared happy to put on display at the UFC event.

“How about this dude? Did he sneak up on you too?” one person asked, posting a photo of Fieri happily greeting Trump at the event. Plenty of people in Fieri’s feed also pointed out to Fieri that Trump has been accused by at least 28 women of various acts of sexual misconduct since the 1970s, ranging from kissing and groping without consent to rape and other alleged acts of sexual assault.
