Billie Eilish believes her fans are "more important" than her.

The Bad Guy star opened up about her relationship with her loyal followers as she walked the blue carpet at the premiere of her new concert movie Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D) - which she co-directed with James Cameron - in London on Tuesday (28.04.26) and Billie Eilish insisted their role in the film was bigger than her own.

According to the Press Association, she said: "I just love everything that has to do with the fans. I feel like the connection that I have with the fans is what it's all about for me, and the only reason I am interested in touring at all, and it's what I enjoy so much about performing.

"I'm just really glad that we captured that. They are as important as me in the movie, if not more so to me, so I feel really grateful."

The movie was filmed at shows in Manchester, England during Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour - which kicked off in September 2024 and concluded in November 2025 - and the singer insisted she loved the audiences in the northern UK city.

She told the BBC at the premiere: "[Manchester was] one of my favourite audiences ever ... I fricking love Manchester.

In an interview with ELLE magazine, James Cameron explained how he decided to bring Billie onboard as a co-director of the film rather than just being the star.

The Titanic moviemaker said: "I came to admire and respect her drive as an artist. How she manifests her artistic goals, not just to create beautiful music, but also to be a great performer.

"She was really the architect and creative guiding force on her show. She had conceived it so she would be in the center of the audience and play to all four quadrants.

"It's quite remarkable: She runs like a maniac from one end of the stage to the other, from side to side. She's all over the place, and the way in which she engages with her audience at the show is phenomenal ... It occurred to me that she and I should co-direct this film."
