Jason Kelce says people "hate [him] more and more" if he sheds weight.

Last May, the former Philadelphia Eagles centre told Us Weekly that he shifted 270 pounds - a 25-pound weight loss since he retired from the NFL in March 2014, and some of his fans are not happy that his frame is getting slimmer.

On the new episode of his and his 36-year-old brother Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast, Jason read a fan question: "If you had to live in one Disney movie forever, which would you choose and why?"

After Travis - who has been engaged to pop megastar Taylor Swift, 36, since August 2025 - declared it a "good f****** question", he named the 1995 comedy Heavyweights, which follows youngster Gerry (Aaron Schwartz) go to a summer camp for children who need to lose weight.

Travis added: "That s*** was so f****** funny. All the fat kids when we were growing up, they ended up being the funniest, most enjoyable to be around."

Jason said: "That's true. Fat people are just better."

Travis suggested that his sibling's success on the field was due to him piling on the pounds.

He laughed as he told Jason: "You didn't get good until you got fat."

Jason agreed: "I didn't. Yeah. Nobody liked me until I became fat. And as I get skinnier, people hate me more and more."

In May 2025, Jason - who has been married to media personality Kylie Kelce, 36, since 2018 - told US Weekly that he did not "really want to get below 250" pounds.

The sports star added: "So, I think somewhere between 250 and 265. We'll see where it goes."

And in June 2024, three months after Jason - who has daughters Wyatt, six, Ellie, five, Bennett, three, and Finn, 13 months, with Kylie - retired from the NFL, he told GQ that he was "down 20 pounds".

He added: "It's hard to imagine another nearly 20 pounds coming off, being honest with you. But my back already feels better. My knees already feel better. So another 20 pounds hopefully will make that much more adept at playing with my children.

"I don't want to get too small. I think a lot of guys, especially offensive linemen, they lose too much weight, and then they look like bobbleheads because their neck gets so small, but their head stays the same size …

"I'll still be big and be happy with the way I look without having a six-pack. But I'll still be able to have that stature a little bit."
