HUNTR/X star Rei Ami has opened up about the viral Coachella moment that saw the singing voices of the KPop Demon Hunters girl group join KATSEYE on stage for their explosive performance of Golden -- calling the team‑up "a beautiful meeting of girl power".
Speaking on the red carpet at Billboard Women in Music 2026 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Wednesday (29.04.26), Rei Ami reflected on the scale of the moment and the energy the two groups created together.
She said: "It was an iconic performance, I've never seen 90,000 people in one gathering and I think it was an honour to have KATSEYE invite us and share the stage.
"They're also an incredible, powerful, bad ass girl group. They work really hard. They show up all the time.
"And so I felt like, you know, it just made sense.
"And it was just a beautiful meeting of girl power."
The Coachella collaboration -- which saw Rei Ami, EJAE and Audrey Nuna join KATSEYE for the breakout hit from KPop Demon Hunters -- has since become one of the most‑shared festival clips of the year, with fans praising the crossover as a "dream girl‑group moment".
Asked what HUNTR/X are aiming for next, Rei Ami didn't hesitate: "Another number one."
Golden has taken the globe by storm and was crowned Best Original Song at this year's Oscars.
